Anyone who has been to Limpopo has heard of the Magoebaskloof Hotel, and with good reason! This three star establishment is not only affordable, but steeped in history and has loads of activities to offer. Using the hotel as a base, you can go rafting, riding, biking and hiking in the area. On a cold night the pub has a roaring fire and some great food, while the dining room has all the old school hotel charm you could ever want.
Where to play
The Magoebaskloof Adventures is both a stay and a play! The accommodation available at the adventure site is self-catering and rustic; imagine log cabins set in the forest. Adventure activities are run from the site, with transport to and from organised into the package. Take a Game Drive
When you think of South Africa, the incredible Kruger National Park most certainly comes to mind. Not only can you catch a glimpse of the famous Big Five, but you will find yourself surrounded by hundreds of species of birds, ancient trees, winding rivers, superb accommodation and adventure. Basically, it’s a one-stop shop for all of your wildlife dreams. You don’t actually need to stay in the park to check it out; take a game drive for a part of a day, have a bite to eat there, and then drive back to your hotel. Remember that the best times to see animals is in the morning or the evening, especially in summer.
