Come feel the music, free your mind, and enjoy an awesome line-up of emerging talents. For 13 years this festival has been defining culture in the music world and now it is coming to the city of gold on the 30th till the 31st of December 2017. This music festival will be bringing together a host of talented local and international musical artists in their first ever Johannesburg adventure. Mixing home-grown and global talent from the worlds of music, art, culture, food and style there will be plenty of entertainment for everyone.
Get your tickets to this awesome party festival for between R400 and R900 per person which takes place at Constitution Hill.
The inaugural Joburg Cocktail Festival celebrates everything we love about cocktails, and what’s not to love? This day promises to be filled with plenty of cocktail sampling, featuring some unique and familiar spirits from some of the most innovative cocktail chefs in the city. Local bar pop-ups, master classes, a chocolate den, a fashion experience and even a man cave for the gents to unwind in will all be on offer when you want to take a break from cocktail drinking. This is the perfect way to spend your lazy Sunday afternoon.
The event is on the 17th December 2017 at The Sands. Tickets cost between R200 and R600 per person.
The Crafters Fair will be moving to a wonderful new venue – The Red Roman Shed at Emperors Palace. Expect loads of artistic exhibitors at this fun and exciting crafting event. You’ll find everything you need for your crafting hobby – from scrapbooking goodies, jewellery and toys to decor items, gifts and much more. Live entertainment and The Garden of Lights will keep you entertained while you shop and explore this fun fair.
Join the fun from 12 December 2017 to 23 December 2017. Entry is R10 per person and children under 12 get in free.
The Good Luck Bar and Outrageous Ostrich will be bringing some Christmas fun to the city on the 16 December 2017 with The 12 Pubs of Xmas. This is a festive pub crawl that originates from Ireland, where people don the most outrageous Christmas outfits and trek between 12 different pubs in the area (in this case, the 1 Fox Precinct), buying and enjoying a beverage in each. There is entertainment lined up when you get there so fun is guaranteed.

Consider it a bird oasis in the urban jungle, and “the only bird park of its kind in Africa”. With over 100 unique and exotic bird species, reptiles, and small animals that range from pelicans and flamingos to iguanas and antelope. Get an eye-full of these magnificent creatures from the elevated wooden walkways overlooking the aviaries or take a leisurely stroll through the amazing gardens that boast “the largest, most diverse private collection of South African Cycads in the world”. After some exploring, settle down for lunch at the Flamingo Café and appreciate the sights and sounds around you.
