The Gogos enjoy Limpopo

22 Nov 2016

We think everyone should get to enjoy all that South Africa has to offer, most of all the wisest of our nation – the Gogos. The “Gogos on Tour” initiative aims to treat our senior citizens to some awesome experiences at various places across their province.

This week the lovely gogos from Limpopo have been treated and delighted and this is what they got up to…

Tribal Dance & Drumming Cultural Show, Hoedspruit

A cultural adventure was enjoyed at the Nyani Cultural Village with a tribal show and a village tour. Here they were also treated to a traditional African lunch. Just 25 km from Hoedspruit, a visit to the Kruger National Park area is incomplete without a visit to Nyani Village & the Cultural Experience “Roots of Rhythm” Tribal show. In an informative and entertaining way, Roots of Rhythm performers provide visitors with a better understanding of the rich cultural background of the Limpopo Tribes.

Rates: Adult visitor rates: Full village tour, roots of rhythm dance show and lunch R 400

After much excitement it was time to head to the Garden Court Hotel where they would be spending the night and enjoying a delicious dinner together. With its relaxed atmosphere, host of amenities and savvy service, the hotel offered their guests a perfect night’s stay.

Day 2 started with a delicious breakfast where our guests were told to fill their tummies before heading off to their pamper session with Mangwanani Spa at Cheerio Garden. The Mangwanani Spa is a wellness retreat which offers true head-to-toe indulgence and Cheerio Garden was the perfect location with its beautiful garden, wedding venue, chalets and various adventure activities.

We truly hope the gogos enjoyed their experience and realise that South Africa offers friendly service and activities which accommodate everyone, old and young.
